Terms of Service

  1. Definitions
    In these terms and conditions:

    • 'AQUAMEN' refers to AQUAMEN Yorkshire.

    • 'Customer' refers to the person whose name is on the estimate, contract, or invoice.

  2. Quotations
    a) All quotations are valid for 60 days from the date of issue. After this period, the customer must request a new quotation.

    b) Quotations may be subject to change if the work requires additional materials or labour. If so:

    • AQUAMEN will notify the customer in writing as soon as possible.

    • A new quotation will be prepared and must be signed by both the customer and AQUAMEN to continue with the work.

    • If the customer does not wish to proceed, the customer will be liable for costs incurred, such as materials and time spent on the job.

  3. Payments
    a) Invoices will be issued upon the completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment should be made upon receipt.

    b) AQUAMEN accepts bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and cheques made payable to AQUAMEN Yorkshire.

    c) AQUAMEN retains ownership of all materials until full payment has been received. Title to materials transfers to the customer only after payment has been made.

    d) For larger projects, payment schedules may be agreed upon in writing. Any late payments may incur additional charges.

  4. Additional Work
    If additional work is required that was not initially included in the scope, AQUAMEN will provide a revised quotation. If the customer does not agree to the additional cost, AQUAMEN reserves the right to charge for materials and labour used.

  5. Liability
    a) AQUAMEN will make every effort to meet scheduled start and completion dates but cannot be held responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances, such as poor weather, lack of access, or supply chain issues.

    b) AQUAMEN is not liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the failure to follow proper safety procedures on-site after work is completed.

  6. Materials and Guarantees
    a) AQUAMEN guarantees all work for a period of [insert relevant guarantee period, e.g. 5 years], starting from the date of completion, against defects in materials and workmanship.

    b) This guarantee applies only to the work carried out by AQUAMEN and will be void if any alterations are made by a third party.

    c) Natural wear and tear, damage by third parties, or external factors such as ground shifts or tree roots are not covered by this guarantee.

  7. Health and Safety
    a) AQUAMEN will implement all necessary health and safety measures during work. The customer must adhere to any safety instructions provided to avoid accidents or injuries.

    b) AQUAMEN cannot be held responsible for injuries caused by customers or third parties disregarding these measures.

  8. Site Conditions
    AQUAMEN will endeavour to restore any areas affected by work, such as lawns or pavements, to their original condition. However, slight differences in the colour or texture of materials may occur due to age and weathering of the original surface, for which AQUAMEN cannot be held responsible.
